Cheri Ayres-Graves AKA: Momma C has been teaching theater and directing plays for 30 years. "My experience began with Church Christmas plays. I began writing scripts around the same time because I wanted to personalize the characters to the children I was directing. I taught elementary, Junior High and High School Drama in the Kent Public Schools. In 2013 my youngest daughter graduated from Homeschooling, needing something to do I offered a theater performance class to the homeschool community. 34 students registered and From Page to Stage Pro. began. In 2014 my middle daughter Dona May asked if I would begin a theater class for her. That year Theater For ALL, adaptive theater for adults with unique abilities began through Kent Parks and Rec."
Momma C is currently the Middle School Drama Director in addition to From Page to Stage Director.
A little about Camille: Miss Camille has numerous years of ballet and musical theater experience throughout the Seattle and south Sound area, A few of her favorite productions were: "The Music Man" with ManeStage and "Cats" with the HiLiners. Spring of 2018 Camille choreographed her first musical "The Wizard of Oz" for Tahoma Jr. Drama. Camille brings inspiration, enthusiasm and fun to our workshops, class and productions.
Shirley Rowe has an education degree from Western Washington University and hastaught in public, private, and home school settings for 40 years. While home schooling her own offspring, she began teaching high school literature and speech and debate to home school groups. She has been involved in From Page to Stage Productions as an audience member, parent, teaching assistant, director, and actor. Her other interests include folk dancing, canoeing, reading, and taking nature walks.
Alex began his journey into the world of Theater in 2019 when he worked in the tech booth for the Tahoma Jr. Drama production of Cinderella. Quickly falling in love with the camaraderie of the theater community, Alex joined on with From Page to Stage where he was able to translate many skills he had acquired as a church media tech. One thing Alex did not expect was to find himself leaving the tech booth for the stage, but after two years with From Page to Stage Alex would perform for the first time in the Summer community show Friends, Family, and Forgiveness, and eventually find himself performing and singing in From Page to Stage's First musical Cinderella bringing everything back full circle. Even after twenty seven shows in his first four years Alex still gets as excited for the next show as he did for his first.
Making theater education and performance accessible to all individuals regardless of their ability with the goal of all persons discovering their confidence, beauty and voice.
Our productions and class content is always age appropriate and family friendly. Many of our scripts are original works and adaptations of literature, stories, fables, parables and fairy tales. We work on basic and well as advance theater skills emphasizing story telling through character development.
MAKING THEATER AVAILABLE TO ALL!
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful--I know full well.
